Rhea Knives are hand forged in the manner of
old world craftsmanship. I use several steels in the blade
construction. I make hunting knives primarily, but also enjoy making
Bowie knives.
This knife is a shorter version of
the Maple Burl Bowie with a different handle material. The
fittings and the blade design are basically the same. This
blade is forged from 1084, but I can use 5160 if you prefer.
The handle construction is "through tang" as is the Maple Burl
Bowie.
