Rhea Knives are hand forged in the manner of
old world craftsmanship. I use several steels in the blade
construction. I make hunting knives primarily, but also enjoy making
Bowie knives.
This knife
is patterned after an early American knife that was popular
before the Civil War. One major difference is that I used
Damascus for the blade. This is my Damascus which is 192
layer ladder pattern. The handle has a lot of flash to it
with the escutcheon plates, pommel and pins of nickel/silver.
I really think a sheath that has a silver throat and
tip would be appropriate for this knife. I plan on taking
a course for that in the near future. I'll comment more in
the "Events" section about the course.
