Rhea Knives are hand forged in the manner of
old world craftsmanship. I use several steels in the blade
construction. I make hunting knives primarily, but also enjoy making
Bowie knives.
This knife is
made with some of the Sheffield Bowies in mind. It is very
similar to the historic Woodhead Bowies of the early 1800's.
The actual design is from Dr. James Batson and to whom I'm
grateful. It has file work all the way around the handle
frame as well as the liners. The photo is by Chuck Ward.
This knife won the Antique Bowie Award
at the 2006 Blade Show!
