Rhea Knives are hand forged in the manner of
old world craftsmanship. I use several steels in the blade
construction. I make hunting knives primarily, but also enjoy making
Bowie knives.
This blade is my damascus that I
worked up with some help from Jerry Fisk. The 1084 really makes
the dark even darker and gives it a lot more contrast. The blade
has a lot of belly and reflects the Southwest profile pretty
well. The handle construction is through tang with the finial
screw attached to the tang. The pommel is hollowed underneath to
lighten it for balance. I used a small red spacer between two
black ones for a little color so you would'nt think the photo
was black and white.
